Developing Positive Thinking

All our feelings, beliefs and knowledge are based on our internal thoughts, both conscious and subconscious. We are in control, whether we know it or not. We can be positive or negative, enthusiastic or dull, active or passive. The biggest difference between people is their attitudes. Our present attitudes are habits, built from the feedback of parents, friends, society and self, that from our self-image and our world-image. These attitudes are maintained by the inner conversations we constantly have with ourselves, both consciously and subconsciously. Attitude and thoughts do not change overnight. Even if the idea seems strange give it a try, as you have nothing to lose, but only to gain. Ignore what others might say or think about you, if they discover that you are changing the way you think. Discover Active Relaxation

There is a huge difference between active relaxation and passive relaxation. When we play video or computer games, play cards, work in the garden, walk the dog, or play chess, we are interacting with the unexpected, and our minds are responding. All of these activities increase personal creativity and intellectual motivation. They are all active pursuits. Active relaxation refreshes and restores the mind. People normally become emotional and subjective when things are not going well. It is indeed difficult to be rationale and objective when there is trouble all around. But the truth is emotions make matters worse. They complicate the situation and make the problems difficult to solve. Therefore, it is very important that we keep our mind calm and learn to think objectively in the midst of difficulties. With objective thinking we can vastly improve our chances of overcoming our difficulties. Objectivity means detachment and freedom from emotional and prejudiced thinking. Objectivity adds clarity to our thoughts and improves the quality of our decisions. With objective thinking comes realistic awareness of our situations and problems, which in turn help us deal with situations more effectively. Mediocre Thinking

You may be a positive thinker, yet your thinking could, in fact, be mediocre. Do you think you’re quite good at your job? Are you a pretty good family person, friend, or athlete? Is your thinking rarely unusual? Do you feel comfortable being one of the crowd? Nothing average ever stood as a monument to progress. When progress is looking for a partner it doesn't turn to those who believe that they are only average. It turns instead to those who are forever searching and striving to become the best they possibly can. If we seek the average level, we cannot hope to achieve a higher level of success.
