The Silent Treatment Rarely Works

There are times when someone wants to talk and you give them the cold shoulder. You are there for that person in their bad times as well as good times. You make sure they are doing good and things are fine with them. But the longer this goes on, the more it exacerbates the problem. And then, there are times when you deliberately avoid talking to someone, but they don't even notice. They don't notice that you have distanced yourself from everyone, they don't realize that you are quiet (which you usually aren’t), they assume that things are fine with you, but they aren’t.  Ultimately you are the only one who suffers. For your own sake, start talking. Don’t keep things inside you. Talk to your family or friends, talk to someone with whom you are comfortable, but start talking.
