Spirituality

Image
Spirituality helps to clarify goals and objectives. It helps to motivate individuals, which is the step prior to setting goals. One must be motivated to do something in order to set a goal to accomplish it. When a goal is set, one's internal cognition is constantly thinking about accomplishing the goal and purpose for setting it, which leads one to thinking about one's larger purpose in life. It is possible to have aspects of positive thinking without necessarily being a positive thinker. It is possible to be spiritual, or religious, without having the three vital relationships for complete positive thinking. When a person has one aspect of positive thinking, they feel some of the very powerful outcomes of positive thinking, which motivates and opens up the opportunity for that person to attain the other aspects of positive thinking.

Know Your Goals

Adversity is often a product of confused thinking, lack of proper goals and aims in life. If an individual is doing what he does not like to do or doing what he is not supposed to do or do not know what he should do, chances are he is inviting trouble into his life. It is also true that if a person is already going through difficulties and has not learned his lesson, chances are he may have to cope with more difficulties for a longer time. Resolve today to know what you think your aims are. Try to know to what extent you lack clarity on this issue, which is causing confusion and restlessness in your life. If you have clearly defined goals and if you are determined mentally to achieve them, solutions will come eventually. You will perceive hidden opportunities and present themselves to your conscious mind which will lead you towards your goals. Whatever be the gravity of the situation, keep the goals clearly in your mind and focus on them. Make them an integral part of your cons...

Power Of Positive Affirmations

Positive affirmations are positive sentences repeated many times in order to impress the subconscious mind and tigger it into action. These sentences describe a situation that we desire to happen, and are repeated many times, with conviction, attention and feelings. Imagine that you are swimming with your friends in a swimming pool. They swim fifteen rounds, something you have never done before. As you desire the respect of your friends, you want to show them that you can make it too. You start swimming, and at the same time keep repeating in your mind: "I can do it, I can do it....". You keep thinking and believing that you are going to complete the fifteen rounds. What are you actually doing? You are repeating positive affirmations. More than often people repeat negative sentences and statements, concerning diverse situations in their lives, and consequently bring upon themselves undesirable situations. Affirmations work both ways, to build and to destroy. They are a kin...

Mediocre Thinking

You may be a positive thinker, yet your thinking could, in fact, be mediocre. Do you think you’re quite good at your job? Are you a pretty good family person, friend, or athlete? Is your thinking rarely unusual? Do you feel comfortable being one of the crowd? Nothing average ever stood as a monument to progress. When progress is looking for a partner it doesn't turn to those who believe that they are only average. It turns instead to those who are forever searching and striving to become the best they possibly can. If we seek the average level, we cannot hope to achieve a higher level of success. The only hope is to avoid being a failure. Here is a typical example of such a mediocre thinker: Asha, a good-hearted woman, owns a modest home, drives an ordinary car, and lives a reasonably comfortable life. She doesn't aspire to the best things in life because she doesn't believe she could ever have them. Although she has some worthwhile goals, she is not excited about achie...
